A home office that looks calm on camera

Pick the desk depth before the style. A laptop can live on 24 inches. A monitor, a notebook, and a lamp want closer to 28. An L shaped return is worth it when a printer has nowhere else to go.
Your chair needs a seat that lets your feet rest flat and arms that slide under the desktop. Mesh backs stay cooler in a small room. Leather reads more formal on a client call. Both belong in the PrimeNest office collection.
The wall behind the chair should be simple. A bookcase with mixed open shelves looks alive. A busy gallery wall flickers on video. Keep the light in front of you, not behind, or you will appear as a silhouette.
Cable management is furniture, not an afterthought. Choose a desk with a grommet or a tray, and the room will look finished the day the boxes leave.
